Jonathan Torres is an aggressive yet compassionate and skilled attorney, negotiator, and advisor with over 16 years of experience. He has extensive experience being a litigation, family law, criminal defense, immigration, and personal injury attorney. Mr. Torres has lived in Central Florida for more than 25 years.

Mr. Torres was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. Once Mr. Torres graduated from High School after completing the I.B. Bilingual Diploma, he came to Florida and attended the University of Central Florida, where he studied Legal Studies, Business Administration, and Urban and Regional Planning. Mr. Torres graduated cum laude from his undergraduate studies and with Honors in the Major. After attending college, Mr. Torres attended Barry Law School to obtain his law degree.

Mr. Torres was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2009 and has represented thousands of clients as an attorney in civil litigation, divorce, family law, personal injury, criminal defense, immigration, and auto accidents in Florida. Mr. Torres is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French and Portuguese.

Mr. Torres is also a member of the Orange County Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. Middle District Court as well. He belongs to several societies including the Golden Key Honor Society, NSCS. Mr. Torres lives in Central Florida with his family.

Miriam brings 27 years of experience in Personal Injury, Litigation, and Insurance Defense. As a bilingual paralegal, she is dedicated to providing clients with the support and guidance they need, no matter how simple or complex their legal matters may be. For the past 32 years, she has proudly called Florida home, where she shares 50 wonderful years of marriage and enjoys life with her amazing daughter and son-in-law. Miriam’s wealth of experience and personal commitment make her a valued part of the Torres Law team.

Arturo Torres

Senior Paralegal

Arturo Torres serves as a Senior Paralegal at Torres Law, bringing with him over 35 years of legal experience from his career as an attorney in Spain. Originally from Madrid, Mr. Torres has extensive expertise in immigration law, commercial law, contract law, and multiple other legal areas. He previously served as in-house counsel for Eastman Kodak Company in Spain, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and Supermercados Alcosto. In addition, he maintained a successful private practice, where he advised and represented clients in family law and litigation matters.

Maria Cifuentes

Paralegal

Maria was born in Colombia and has lived in the United States for more than 30 years. She brings over 15 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on immigration law. Since joining Jonathan Torres in July 2020, she has drawn on her extensive background in immigration, which includes four years with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and three years with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Maria’s professional journey has provided her with a deep understanding of the immigration process, and she is dedicated to guiding and supporting clients through each stage of their case.

Roberto Llavina

Attorney

Roberto Llavina was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Puerto Rico before obtaining his Juris Doctor from the Inter-American University School of Law in 1997. Admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar in 1998, his career includes serving as legal assistant to Hon. Hiram Sánchez Martínez of the Court of Appeals, legal advisor at HIMA Hospital, and founding his own law firm in 2002. He has represented clients in corporate, administrative, medical malpractice, labor, and disability law, including HIMA, Médiko Medicina Primaria, and Puerto Rican government agencies. In 2011, Roberto moved with his family to Florida, where he continues practicing law. He enjoys camping, family time, and serves as a leader at Iglesia Cristiana de Deltona. He and his wife, Ivelisse, have four children and two grandchildren.

Michele Bernard

Attorney

Michele M. Bernard is an accomplished Family Law and Criminal Defense Attorney known for her advocacy and client care. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Florida A&M University College of Law, where she served as a research assistant, externed with Ninth Circuit Judge Jose R. Rodriguez, and was a founding member and Chair of the Moot Court Board. Since her admission to The Florida Bar, she has also been admitted before the Supreme Court of the United States, where she proudly took her oath. Michele approaches every case with skill and compassion, combining legal expertise with genuine concern for her clients, and remains committed to delivering strong advocacy with dignity and respect.
